Celebrating our Children of Common Ground

Over 130 golfers of all ages participated in the first annual Common Ground Miniature Golf Tournament at Boomers in El Cajon on Saturday June 1, 2012.  Many thanks go out to the volunteers who made it all happen and the generous donations made by our three congregations that allowed us to invite our students to join in on the fun.  Every golfer was given a water, granola bar, scorecard, and equipment to participate.  Afterwards there were pizza, cupcakes, and prizes for everyone.  Smiles were everywhere.

Volunteers listen to instructions prior to the tournament.

It was great fun for everyone, even those who had never swung a club. It's great fun for families to feel the frustration of golf together.

My only regret, as I drove home, I didn't get a cupcake.
