FIRST STEP
- Please let us know how you would like to help! Fill out the volunteer interest form and return it to Common Ground, c/o Foothills United Methodist Church, 4031 Avocado Blvd., La Mesa, CA 91941 or email it to svcommonground@gmail.com. Click here to download the form .
- After receiving your interest form we will send you an application to complete. After processing your application, we will keep you apprised of volunteer opportunities as they arise and will try our best to match your interest and availability at a school site or at a Common Ground activity or event.
- When you are placed as a volunteer at a school site, we will give you a brief orientation. We will meet you at the school office the first day you volunteer so that you know where to go and know how to sign in as a Common Ground volunteer at the school.
- If at any time your schedule changes or you would like to update your volunteer preferences, simply send an email to svcommonground@gmail.com and we will update our records.

Common Ground currently serves 6 schools in the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District:
Avondale, Bancroft, Casa De Oro, Highlands, Kempton, and La Presa Elementary.
