Bancroft Community School is on Tyler Street in Spring Valley. The staff and students have been involved with Common Ground for over 10 years. Common Fround has provided volunteers, clothing, food, books, and emergency funds for them. In return, they have given us hugs, smiles, a welcoming campus, and a willingness to share in our goal for building a healthier community.
Recently, liasons Barbara Norton and Jeannie Parsons met with staff member Laurel Fielding to plan a gardening project. Students will experience tilling, planting, caring for, and harvesting a crop while learning facts about good nutrition.
